The Kapital Partner Nordic Growth Exchanges (KPNGX) index fell 1.8% last week. The Swedish S30 index fell 4.0%, while the Danish C25 index fell 2.6%. 371 out of 917 companies in the KPNGX index delivered a positive return last week. The 3 best performing stocks on the Nordic growth exchanges were Sustainable Energy Solutions Sweden Holding (+199%), MBRS Group AB (+57%) and Vestum AB (+38%). The worst performing stock of the week was BrainCool AB, down 58%.

Developments at sector level on the Nordic growth exchanges

Utilities performed best last week, rising 1.9%. Both real estate and industrials followed nicely with increases of more than 1%. Academic & educational services was the worst performing sector of the week after falling 2.1%, and healthcare fell 1.6%.

Sustainable Energy Solutions Sweden Holding (+199%) develops and delivers energy solutions to property owners, energy companies and municipalities. The products are based on various solutions within energy storage in borehole reservoirs, hydropower, regulation and production as well as distribution and recycling of energy. SENS energy solutions are part of energy supply systems.

Sustainable Energy Solutions Sweden Holding announced last week that it has signed a cooperation agreement with Kracht Alpha regarding an energy project in South Africa. Sustainable Energy Solutions Sweden Holding has a market capitalisation of SEK 43 million and has fallen 41% year to date.

The company has a market capitalisation of SEK 118m and its share price has fallen 64% year to date.

The company has a market capitalisation of SEK 6,287 million and the share price has fallen 67% year to date.

Developments during the week on First North Denmark

The Kapital Partner First North Danmark (KPFNDK) index fell 1.4% last week. The KPFNDK index is one of the best performing stock indices in the Nordic region relative to the other indices year to date. However, since 1 January 2020, the index has delivered a negative return, which is worse than both the KPNGX index, the C25 index and the S30 index, which have all delivered positive returns since 1 January 2020.

Developments during the week on First North Denmark at company level

19 out of 52 companies in the KPFNDK index delivered a positive return. SPENN Technology A/S was the winner of the week with an increase of 27%. Agillic A/S followed well with a 24% increase. Shape Robotics A/S was the worst performing stock of the week after a 15% drop. However, Shape Robotics is up 23% year to date.

SPENN Technology A/S (+15%) is active in the financial services industry. The company operates a financial trading platform for trading. The technology is based on the proprietary platform where customers can trade securities. The company offers investment opportunities adapted to the level of knowledge and chosen investment philosophy. Customers are among individuals, institutions and other financial companies.

The company has a market capitalization of 287 MDKK, and the share price has fallen 56% year to date.

Developments during the week for the Nordic healthcare stocks

The Kapital Partner Healthcare (KPHC) index fell 2.7% during the week. 108 out of 293 companies in the index rose during the week. IRRAS AB (+70%) was the winner of the week (once again). OssDsign AB (34%) and Oncozenge AB (31%) also rose to the top among Nordic healthcare stocks after increases of 34% and 31%, respectively. BrainCool AB was the worst performer, down 58%. BrainCool was also the worst performing stock across the Nordic growth exchanges.

Winner of the week for Nordic healthcare stocks: IRRAS AB

IRRAS AB needs no introduction. The company has been the best performing healthcare stock of the week 3 times over the summer. By extension, the stock has incredibly fallen 26% year to date. The company’s market capitalisation is 777 MSEK.

Irras AB (70%) is a medical technology company. The company focuses on developing solutions for surgical procedures for brain diseases. The company has currently developed a technology platform focusing on the management of a number of components in hemorrhagic stroke and chronic subdural hematoma, primarily within fluid management and intracranial bleeding.
