Developments during the week at the Nordic growth exchanges

Kapital Partner Nordic Growth Exchanges (KPNGX) index fell 0.6% last week. The Swedish S30 index rose as much as 5.1%, while the Danish C25 index rose 3.3%. The KPNGX index is currently down 35.2% year to date. 486 out of 917 companies in the KPNGX index delivered a positive return during the week. The 3 best performing stocks on the Nordic growth excanges were TH1NG AB (+83%), Hilbert Group AB (+72%) and Norwegian Block Exchange AS (+39%). The worst performing stock of the week was Rolling Optics Holding AB, down 29%.

The KPNGX index consists of all listed companies on the Nordic growth exchanges, including Nasdaq First North Growth Market, Spotlight Stock Market and EuroNext Growth.

Developments at sector level on the Nordic growth exchanges

The majority of sectors rose during the week. Consumer cyclicals, industrials and technology all rose over 2%. Academic & Educational Services, on the other hand, was the loser of the week, falling 3.6%, with all stocks in the sector falling over the week.

TH1NG AB (+83%) (Nordnet) is an internet of things (IoT) solutions provider. The company provides wireless services, ready-to-use IoT services as well as support and tools to other players. Through the company’s platform, services are offered to customers in industry, real estate, and private operators for home use, among others.

Th1ng AB announced last week that it had signed a three-year agreement to deliver IoT solutions worth DKK 30 million. The market capitalisation of the company after the latest share price increase is approximately SEK 46 million

Hilbert Group AB (+72%) (Nordnet) is an investment firm entirely focused on digital assets, primarily cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies. The business model is diversified into four verticals: asset management, proprietary trading, corporate investments, and data and analytics. Clients consist of high net worth individuals and institutional investors.

Norwegian Block Exchange AS (39%) (Nordnet) offers a platform for trading cryptocurrencies, custodian banking systems and payment systems. The company’s platform provides a marketplace to buy, sell and make payments in cryptocurrencies or other digital assets with fiat gateways.

Developments during the week on First North Denmark

Kapital Partner First North Danmark (KPFNDK) index rose 1.9% during the week, and the KPFNDK index continues to be one of the best performing stock indices in the Nordic region relative to the other indices year to date. However, since 1 January 2020, the index has delivered a negative return.

Developments during the week on First North Denmark at company level

31 out of 51 companies in the KPFNDK index delivered a positive return. Samesytem A/S was the best performing stock of the week with an increase of 32% and Hydract A/S rose 23% as the second best. Q-Interline A/S was the worst performing stock of the week with a decrease of 13%. However, Q-Interline A/S is one of the few companies to have delivered a positive return in 2022, with the stock being up 16% year-to-date.

Winner of the week on First North Denmark: Samesystem A/S

Samesystem A/S (+32%) (Nordnet) is active in the IT sector. The company specialises in the development of SaaS solutions. The software is proprietary and used mainly for cloud-based solutions adapted to human resources management. Customers consist of enterprise customers operating in a variety of sectors, such as retail and the restaurant industry.

Developments during the week for the Nordic healthcare stocks

The Kapital Partner Healtcare (KPHC) index rose 0.9% during the week. 170 out of 293 companies in the index rose during the week. However, the index has been very hard hit during 2022 where it has fallen 38% year to date. Alzecure Pharma AB was the winner of the week, rising nearly 35%.
